is the winner from last month. Please PM me your info and I’ll send your package along to you!
I used the Unity stamp, Bright Spirits, which I purchased because one of my friends favorite drinks are manhattans and martinis! Couldn’t resist! First, I stamped the image with Pumice Stone Oxide ink. I used my Schmincke watercolors, mostly, and Arches cold press paper. I must admit I took a little license decorating the ornament with stripes and added gold metallic colors using Kuretake Gansai Starry watercolors. Finally, I also added a bit of metallic green pen and Posca Acrylic white and gold pens. I embossed the sentiment using a very old sparkly green embossing powder and used circle dies. I used a sparkly ribbon, and some random striped paper I thought complemented the colors and ornament design. I added red sequins to finish off the card. This is probably a bit of a strange card… but then… I think it kind of works.
On this second card, I used the same paper and watercolors and the Posca white pen with Christmas Cookies. To add a little more outline definition I used tan, brown, green and red pens. I used a green embossing powder on the sentiment for this one as well. I added enamel dots for cookie decorations and embellishments.
Hope this reminds you of a couple other cute stamp sets to use for the holidays! Thanks for stopping by! And remember to leave a comment with your name! Now on to the rest of the hop!

Yummy cards, Joyce! I love how you used the stripes in the whole design of your first card... so eye-catching! Your gingerbread cookie card is perfection! Wonderful colors and so cute! I could just eat them up! LOL
ReplyDeleteYour first card is so full of beautiful detail that go together in unison, I can look at it for a long time and see new things, amazing! The cookie card is so awesomely colored. Your use of the white accents is just wow!
ReplyDeleteYour first card is so much fun and I love that you bought the stamp because of your friend, but the gingerbread card is amazing to me!! I would see that stamp and "pass" because of all of the coloring - but your card makes it look so do-able and worth the challenge, Joyce!! Thanks for the inspiration! Cathy P.
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look good enough to eat! Very nice!!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, cookies and a holiday martini...I'm In. Besides it is a great possibility that an ornament might end up in a beverage when things get hectic. Love the vintage feel and traditional vintage colors. What a great inspiration. Mom used to put stripes on all her Christmas cookies. When I started making my own I asked her why she did this anxious to learn the tradition. She laughed and answered she was just trying to use up the icing for no waste. Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteSuper cards Joyce, especially the gingerbread men one!
