Maple Girl and Embrace the Change

This one started when I was going through all my “fall” themed stash of papers, ephemera, stamps, etc. and I happened upon a teal/copper window frame. It was then a case of use it or lose it! I started to pair it with other papers, stamps and dies.

I first stamped Maple Girl (I guess Maple Girl has been retired from Unity’s website and it’s a shame as I just love her coat/shawl) and proceeded to color her in with pencils. She just reminds me of the cooler months of Autumn. Now, I did take some license to add a face as I’m not fond of faceless people 😆. I found coordinating papers (including a metallic foiled paper on the bottom) I thought would go and ended up having to color in between her legs to match the background paper behind the window. I used a retired Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves die to embellish the card with glittery gold paper and a teal colored paper I made to match. I added large teal enamel dots and copper pearl dots to complete the card.

The sentiment came from Unity’s Embrace the Change. Well… just wanted to capture my steps here! Thanks for stopping by!
